THE PENSACOLA WESTERN GATEWAY LIONS CLUB

A GLOBAL LEADER IN

HUMANITARIAN

Lions meet the needs of local communities and the world every day because they share a core belief - to serve their community.

LIONS HAVE A DYNAMIC HISTORY

The Pensacola Western Gateway Lions Club was established in 1989, our mission is to serve Escambia County residents by advocating and promoting vision health, raising awareness on optical resources and services provided by the Lions Eye Clinic. Our club conducts community outreach and engagement to educate the community on the services we offer.  Our Motto is “We Serve”, and how we do that is to provide donations to local nonprofit organizations to address food insecurity, volunteerism, and service to those experiencing homelessness.

LIONS GIVE SIGHT.

Lions give sight. By conducting vision screenings, equipping hospitals and clinics, distributing medicine and raising awareness of eye disease, Lions work toward their mission of providing vision for all. We have extended our commitment to sight conservation through countless local efforts and through our international Sight First Program, which works to eradicate blindness.

LIONS SERVE YOUTH.

Lions serve youth. Our community projects often support local children and schools through scholarships, recreation and mentoring. Internationally, we offer many programs, including the Peace Poster Contest, Youth Camps and Exchange and Lions Quest.

Join a Community of Good

Bringing kind-hearted people together to serve their communities is what Lions clubs are all about. Lions see a problem and then take action to solve it. Lions build relationships with their communities, with one another and with the people they serve. And as a result, everyone’s life is improved.
